Dayton (near Chattanooga): Located at the 503 mile marker of the Tennessee River,100 ft. dock with covered boat slip. Many birds, very private, very little river traffic.
Home Description:
Guest Home with two bedrooms. All appliances air covered deck
with swing and fans. TV and VCR. Would accommodate four people
comfortably. Maps of the river. Bring your boat or jet skis, fishing
gear, bathing suits. In the spring and fall the sand crabs move
in across the river. Egrets and Bald Eagles abound. Best ribs
ever at Steve's Landing at the 488 mile marker.
The Area:
Chattanooga has many battlegrounds and many engineering devices
to entertain. The river at the 503 marker is 40 miles north of
Chattanooga and 60 miles south of Knoxville, so it is still very
quiet. White water rafting is 30 minutes away on the Occoee River.
Eastern Tn. has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
Mountains, rivers, great hiking trails.
