Redwood City: Large Home on 1/3 wooded acre with historic Japanese Teahouse.
Home Description:
Our 4 bedroom 3 bath home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac. The
back garden has several oak and redwood trees and slopes down
to a small creek. This property (not the house) was once part
of a large estate in the early 1900's and the teahouse was part
of the owner's Japanese Teagarden, part of which exists today.
It is a very pretty setting. Our home is comfortably furnished
the usual T.V., VCR, dishwasher, central heating, washer, dryer
etc. The master bedroom and one other bedroom have queen size
beds, one bedroom has a double bed and the other a single bed--so
there is lots of sleeping accommodation.
The Area:
We are located in the San Francisco Bay area about mid way between
San Francisco and San Jose. San Francisco is about 20 miles to
our north. The wine country of Napa and Sonoma is about 2 hours
away and Yosemite National Park is about 3 hours to the east.
We are only about 1 1/2 hours from the Montery Peninsula and the
Pacific Ocean is only a half hour's drive to the west. We belong
to Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City, a large but friendly
congregation located about 5 minutes away by car.
Other Particulars:
We have a Buick Park Avenue and a SUV which we may be able to
exchange. We don't smoke and prefer non-smokers in our home. We
have no pets at present.
We also own a 2 bedroom 2 bath town home in Lawrence, Kansas, a charming university town in eastern Kansas. It is located across from a beautiful 18 hole golf course. If anyone is interested in exploring this area we could use this as an exchange instead.
Our Preferred Destination:
North eastern, north western United States or western Canada--British
Columbia or Alberta. Gary would like to be located on or near
a golf course, golf being his number 1 hobby, a mountain vacation
home would be great also.

Who We Are:
Gary is an electronics engineer nearing retirement, an avid golfer
and looking forward to playing lots more golf when he does retire.
Barbara works in our church office and enjoy music, gardening
and travel.
