Tempe (Phoenix): Our home is a cute 2 bedroom, one bath home with all of the modern conveniences, plus a large video library.
Home Description:
We live in a cute house located four blocks from Arizona State
University. Our house is nestled in a well-kept neighborhood where
there are many mature trees. We have a large fenced yard in the
back with tons of trees. Our front yard is almost forest-like
(huge pine trees). Neighbors all watch out for one another and
are friends with each other. We have a microwave, VCR, CD player,
over 200 movies, many toys, a computer, lots of children's software,
washer/dryer, all regular appliances. Our house is yellow w/white
trim and has tons of windows. Car exchange, pet exchange, use
of bicycle. Children and pets okay. Beautiful winter weather (60s).
Ten minutes from Sky Harbor Airport, fifteen minutes from famous
Scottsdale area, fifteen minutes from Phoenix.
The Area:
We have a downtown area that has hundreds of trendy shops such
as The Gap, PFChangs, Ben and Jerry's, etc. On Saturday evenings
you can catch local talent in the center of this downtown area
(downtown Tempe). Downtown Tempe has a huge cinema, natural waterfall
area w/statues and boulders children can climb on. Very family-friendly
locale. There is a park with play equipment, volleyball courts,
picnic benches, and bar-b-que grills approximately one block from
our home. Many fine eateries within short walking distance.
Other Particulars:
Car exchange, bicycles (one adult, one child), computer with many
children's titles, VCR, 200 or so movies (3/4 for children, 1/4
for adult) of mostly popular movies, non-smokers only, minimal
care for two predominantly outdoor cats (Yoda and Bender) and
one 11-yr-old Bichon Frise dog (Milby) who keeps to herself. Also
feel free to use our double-jogger and our 2-seater wagon. :)

England, preferably near Cornwall; Wales; Scotland; Ireland, preferably
near Dublin; Holland; Sweden; Norway; France; Greece; Italy, preferably
near Tuscany; Spain; Canada, preferably near Vancouver or Trail;

Who We Are:
I am Kate, a freelance writer, small business owner (work predominantly
out of my home so that I can be home with my children). I am a
single mother with two small children: Carson, age five, and Paige,
age one. We are very close to my mother, Lynn, who is a retired
schoolteacher and lives nearby. She would be traveling with us
on an exchange.
