Athens (Huntsville): Lovely, 3 bedroom home in Northern Alabama.
Home Description:
We are interested in a possible home exchange. We live in Athens,
Alabama. This is near the largest space and rocket center in the
United States. We have three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, swimming pool,
which has all the domestic appliances plus microwave, dishwasher,
washer/dryer, 3 cable TV and VCRs, central heating, fireplace,
mini-van. This is a very good location to visit the southern part
of the United States. The Tennessee River is just 10 minutes away
for many sporting activities. The interstate and state highway
bisect the city which makes it extremely easy to travel on day
trips.
The Area:
Helen Keller's home, Ivy Green, is located an hour away. As is
the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Nashville is 90 minutes away to
the North. Birmingham is 90 minutes away to the south. You can
also relax in our quiet neighborhood. Huntsville is the home of
many professional sports teams. This includes the Stars, whom
Mark Maguire played for. They are now associated with the Brewers.
Many churches in the area to suit your needs.
Other Particulars:
We do have a dog. She could be boarded, or stay with you. Computer
is available for use. No smoking in the house please. Our van
could be used in exchange for your car.
Our Preferred Destination:
We would like the 4-10 in London and 10-18 in Belgium. You could
use our home for both weeks.
Dates of Exchange:
Other vacation plans for the future are open, but tied to school
schedules.
Who We Are:
I am a deacon in the Catholic Church. This means I am an ordained
minister. I am also a nurse-anesthetist. My wife is the librarian
at our parish school. We have two sons, Josh and John. They will
be 17 & 10 in March. They are experienced travellers. We spent
three weeks in Italy last year.
