Home Description:
This spacious mountain home in quiet neighborhood has 5 bedrooms
plus a loft, 2 bathrooms, and a large laundry room. Located on
1/3 acre of garden and fruit trees, and sits two blocks above
Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center. The home boasts a modern
kitchen, sleeps nine plus double hide-a-bed and has a beautiful
patio and garden. Lots of books are available, but no television.
Summertime possibility of particpating in Mount Hermon Conferences.
The Area:
Mount Hermon is in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, 6 miles
from the beach, 70 miles south of San Francisco and 40 miles north
of Carmel/Monterey. Hiking trails begin two blocks from our homes
and take one through the woods, into huge redwood forests and
along scenic creeks and rivers. Local attractions include Roaring
Camp Train Rides through the redwoods, Henry Cowell and Big Basin
State Parks, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, beach volleyball,
surfing, kayaking on Monterey Bay, sport fishing and crabbing
in season and the lovely town of Santa Cruz. Local churches include
Evangelical Free, Presbyterian, Baptist, Catholic, Orthodox, Assemblies
of God, and, in Santa Cruz, just about any church one might desire.
Other Particulars:
We are a licensed foster home, so our home is approved and safe
for children age 6-18. For younger children, we do not have child-protected
cupboards, etc. All smoke-alarms and fire extinguishers are up
to date. Automoblie exchange (a 9 passenger Ford van) is negotiable.
Other negotiable equipment includes boogeyboards, some bicycles,
patio, gas bar-b-que, golf clubs and passes to the community pool
during the summer. No smoking or pets are allowed.
Our Preferred Destination:
We are looking for a large home and automobile in a warm resort
area during the Christmas break or near a major city outside of
the USA during the mid summer. Australia or New Zealand are possiblities
for Christmas vacations.
Dates of Exchange:
First choice - the week before and/or after Christmas, any year
Second choice - the last week in July, any year
Who We Are:
We are a large family of birth, adopted, and legal guardianship children. Randy and Terry are the parents. We are neat and clean, and always leave the places we visit in great shape!
