Downstairs is open floor plan with wood floors in kitchen and dining area and carpeted living/lounge room. Simple, yet attractive and comfortable furnishings. Uncluttered, bright, and inviting. Any, and everyone feels comfortable.
Part of a 30 year old townhouse complex which includes large established trees, lots of grass and a lovely pool which is great for exercise or leisure. Neighbors are wonderful, quiet and very helpful.

We are located one mile south of the exclusive Biltmore area which includes shopping, movies, coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants and golf. We are 10 minutes from Phoenix International Airport, and the same from downtown Phoenix which includes theater, restaurants, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, movies and various and assorted shows and festivals.
We are 15 minutes from Arizona State University in Tempe, which includes all the attractions of a University town.
We are 10 minutes from hiking and mountain biking with a great variety of trails of various difficulty levels.
3 minutes from almost every major freeway in the city.
Great golfing is all around! Did you know that Phoenix has one of the highest golf courses per capita ratings in the U.S.?
Resorts, the Phoenix Zoo, Arizona Science Center, playgrounds are all at close hand. A couple of hours away you can find Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Tuscon.
Other Particulars:
Automobiles may be available in exchange. '94 Geo Prism and Nissan
truck. Nothing fancy, but good reliable cars. 4 adults in Prism
O.K. but 5 is a squeeze. Truck transports 2 comfortably.
2 quality mountainbikes available as well as helmets, gloves and baby trailer in great condition which holds 2 children.
Computer available, VCR and amenities such as washer/dryer, dishwasher. No smoking or pets please. Young children live here, and children are welcome.
Our Preferred Destination:
Anywhere by the beach or other large body of water. Especially
California. Two beach-babies ended up in the desert and we long
for water!
We are open to suggestions, and not afraid to travel.
Dates of Exchange:
2-4 weeks in the summer months
Who We Are:
Gary, 40, is a missionary with Strategic Ministries Inc. working
particularly in the area of church health and church planting
in the urban context. He transplanted from San Diego 12 years
ago. He enjoys outdoors activities and sports (especially soccer),
art and design.
Gina, 28, transplanted from Australia 7 years ago, is wife, mother of 2 small children, and ministry partner. She loves outdoor activities - hiking, biking, etc., music and art.
Joel, 3, is into animals, dinosaurs and everything boy.
Zoe, 6 months, is too busy being cute to share what she is particularly interested in at this time!
