Home Description:
Our home is a 4 bedroom house on the leafy North Shore of Sydney,
with the option of a separate flat for in-laws or guests (one
bedroom has an ensuite and a sepate kitchenette and living room).
There are three separate living areas, and two bathrooms. We have
a good sized back-yard, well set up for children (sand pit, slippery-dip,
cubby house etc).
The Area:
Wahroonga is one of the best suburbs in Sydney! It is well serviced
by easy train into the heart of the city, as well as being close
to a major shopping area, excellent local schools (primary and
senior), a beautiful park, and a variety of interesting restaurants/cafes.
It is also one of the safest suburbs in Sydney. It is at the gateway
to the major north highway, making touring the north coast of
New South Wales (beautiful beaches) very easy.
Other Particulars:
We are most happy to exchange cars, and make available any of
our facilities (including computer, TV/VCR, golf sticks, kids
toys etc). We do not smoke, and while we would prefer to exchange
with non-smokers, this is not essential.
Our Preferred Destination:
Chrissy will be working in London (England) and so we need a house
close enough to commute daily. Our preference is for an area with
young families
Dates of Exchange:
6 months from July to December.
Who We Are:
Our family consists of John, Chrissy, and our three children -
David (7), Tom (almost 5) and Annabel (almost 3). We grew up in
Sydney, and are looking for an overseas 'experience'. Chrissy
has been fortunate enough to be offered a temporary job in London
in the second half of 2001. Chrissy's mum lives with us, and will
come to London to help us out. We are very involved in a local
evangelical church, which is well geared for families and children.
We have both been Christians since our teen years, and can heartily
affirm the ICBBN/ChristianHomeXchange.com Statement of Faith.
We would love to swap home for 6 months with another Christian
family.
