Kent (Seattle area): Charming 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with hot tub, minutes from Seattle, the gorgeous Puget Sound, and Mt. Rainier
Home Description:
Our home is a charming 2,600 sq. ft., 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, located
in a quiet, safe neighborhood, just minutes from a golf course,
bike trail, lake, and city of Seattle. The house was built in
the 1960's and has been totally updated, both cosmetically and
functionally with beautiful tile in several areas of the house,
hardwood floors and carpet, and unique brickwork throughout. Three
bedrooms (two twin beds and one bunk futon bed w/twin on top and
double on bottom) are located on one side of the house, sharing
a full bathroom, and the large master bedroom (with queen bed)
is on the other side of the house, with its own private bathroom.
The rest of the house consists of a large comfortable living room
(can be used as a retreat from children!), lovely dining area,
shining kitchen (with dishwasher, microwave, stove, etc.), laundry
room, 1/2 bathroom, and large family room (with computer, fax,
color television with cable and satellite, Nintendo, games, etc.).
Three sliding glass doors off the dining area and family room
face the private backyard with large, partially covered deck and
new 8-person hot tub. Also includes an attached car port and 900
s.f. shop/garage. Our home is beautifully furnished but still
totally comfortable and suitable for families. It has a monitored
security system. We have no pets due to allergies of two family
members. We are non-smokers and would appreciate exchanging with
the same although outdoor smoking would be fine.
The Area:
We live in the city of Kent, a suburb of Seattle. We are located
five minutes away from a golf course with hiking/biking trails.
Lake Fenwick is two minutes away and offers fishing, swimming,
and picnicking. Teenagers might be interested in the new skate
park just up the street which attracts skate boarders, bikers,
and roller bladers. Kent is home to several festivals throughout
the year, including the Canterbury Faire - a Renaissance/Medieval
celebration held in August. Kent has its own Farmers Market, open
daily downtown. Seattle is just minutes away, offering all of
the excitement and convenience of a big city with shopping, fine
restaurants, theaters, nightlife, professional sports, and many
sightseeing attractions (Seattle Art Museum, Pike Street Market,
beautiful waterfront, Space Needle, Seattle Center, to name a
few). There are several eclectic communities in the Seattle area,
all offering different shopping/dining/theater/browsing experiences.
A short drive in any direction will take you to beaches (water
sports, ferry boats, fishing, swimming), several beautiful mountains
(skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, camping, viewing); lakes
(swimming, boating, fishing); golfing; biking; festivals; zoos,
museums, shopping; sightseeing - you name it! Beautiful British
Columbia is a two-hour drive away, or take one of the ships that
leave from the Seattle waterfront daily.
Other Particulars:
A car exchange is possible(two late model vehicles, a Ford Taurus
