Loveland: Scenic condo in the heart of Sol Vista Ski & Golf Resort at Silver Creek or beautiful townhome nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mtns.
Home Description:
One option is our 2nd home condominium at Sol Vista Ski &
Golf Resort at Silver Creek, CO, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit that
sleeps 4-6 people. The condo is fully equipped with a small kitchen,
a TV, VCR, fireplace, and small indoor hot tub. A washer and dryer
is available in the building. A amenities building provides access
to a small indoor swimming pool, a dry and wet sauna, and an outdoor
hot tub. A 2nd option is our new 3 bedroom/2.5 bath/2 level townhome
located in the beautiful, scenic, Mariana Butte golf course complex
in Loveland, CO. This is a large 2400 sq. foot unit with master
bedroom, living room/dining room/kitchen area, laundry room, office
area with computer, and 2 car garage on one level. The lower level
contains 2 bedrooms, bath, and a large family area. We have cable
TV, VCR, and deck area with barbeque in this very comfortable
home. This is a beautiful home with all the necessary amenities.
The Area:
Option 1 is at Silver Creek, CO, one of the newest and fastest
growing resort areas in Colorado. It is approximately 30 minutes
from Winter Park Ski area and 30 minutes from Grand Lake, CO,
and Rocky Mountain National Park. The area is popular year-round
and offers downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding,
snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating, sledding, and other activities
in the winter plus hiking, mountain/trail biking, gold medal trout
fishing on the Colorado and Frazer Rivers, boating/sailing/water
skiing, white water rafting, golfing, and easy access to Rocky
Mountain National Park activities in the summer. Winter Park Resort
also offers an alpine slide in the summer, plus miles of mountain
biking trails. Our condo is in a ski in/ski out location at the
foot of the Sol Vista Family Ski Resort, a popular beginning and
intermediate ski area. Advanced skiers/snow boarders are within
30 minutes of Winter Park, accessible by car or resort busses.
Directly below our condo is the back nine of the newly developed
golf course, one of several in the area.
Option 2 is our townhome in Loveland, CO, a beautiful area in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We are 1 hour north of Denver and Denver International Airport (DIA) and 45 minutes from Estes Park, CO, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Our city of 50,000 people is a beautiful town known for its many sculptures. In fact, it is a sculptor's mecca and is well-known throughout the country. Our home is located in the Mariana Butte golf complex, a beautiful new golf course with spectacular mountain vistas. Denver obviously offers many attractions, including Elitches/Six Flags, Ocean's Journey, Museums, professional sporting events (i.e. Rockies, Broncos, Avalanche), plus many other activities.
Other Particulars:
Option 1 includes fireplace,
TV/VCR, gas grill, and amenities building.
Option 2 includes air conditioning, 2 gas log fireplaces, TV/VCR, computer, deck with gas grill, male and female bicycles, and possible use of a vehicle. No pets please in either options, and both are non-smoking.
Our Preferred Destination:
Since we are recently retired, we are pretty open to different
adventures. We are currently more interested in traveling in the
United States, but we might consider international travel in the
future.
Dates of Exchange:
We are open to all possibilities. Our condo is not rented, so
it is available more often. As a result, our trades would not
necessarily have to be at the same time.
Who We Are:
We are Tom and Imo Jeane, both recently retired from the teaching
profession. Tom taught high school health/p.e. and coached football
for 24 years. He loves sports and outdoor activities, especially
fly fishing. Imo Jeane taught secondary English and also enjoys
the outdoors. We both walk, hike, bike, and ski. Traveling is
another interest of ours, especially now that we are retired.
Reading and visiting historical sites are fun for us. We will
be doing some part-time working, but in general our schedules
will be pretty flexible.
