London: Large 5 bedroomed house. 30 mins from the centre of London, 10 mins from the historic village of Greenwich
Home Description:
Our spacious family home has 5 bedrooms, lounge, dining room,
kitchen, two showers, bath, two WCs and gardens to the front and
rear, with a BBQ. We are situated in the south east corner of
London, on the border of Lewisham, Greenwich and Bromley, with
a ten minute walk to the railway station and then a 20 minute
train journey to the centre of London. We are in a quiet road
with friendly neighbours.
The Area:
We are very close to the historic villages of Blackheath and Greenwich.
The sights, which include the Cutty Sark, the Queen's House, the
royal hunting park with a deer enclosure (descended from the deer
hunted by King Henry VIII. In another direction you can be in
the Garden of England in 15 mins, or in an hour visit the beautiful
town of Rochester (of Dickens fame) or the south coast and the
beaches. Sport and Leisure activities are close by and there are
several Churches within easy distance.
Other Particulars:
We have a Ford Fiesta, which can seat 5 with seat belts and would
be willing to exchange for the use of a car at the other end.
There are two TVs and a video, washing machine, fridge/freezer,
dishwasher, PC, and a central heating system should it be necessary.
There are also gas fires in the lounge and dining room. We have
a medium size garden with a bar-b-que. We are a no smoking household.

3 Weeks in July to beginning of August 2003
Who We Are:
My name is George and with my wife Evelyn we have 4 children.
Our son, the oldest, is 24 and is on exchange with the University
of Cincinatti with a six month work placement in New York (hence
the reason to visit). The three girls are all completing stages
of education in June and we would like to reward their efforts
with a holiday in America. (The first is just finishing university,
the second is finishing sixth form and lastly our third girl is
finishing school!)
