Situated in tree lined avenue. 30 ' lounge/diner, modern kitchen
with eye-level oven, dishwasher. Utility room. 3 bedrooms (1 with
double bed, 1 with 2 singles, 1 with single). Small study room.
Large private garden. 1 mile from supermarkets and entertainment
complex (cinemas, bowling, etc).
The Area:
Poole is situated close to Bournemouth in a popular holiday area
near fine, golden, sandy beaches and superb scenery. Poole itself
has the second largest natural harbour in the world. There are
boat trips from the quay and a steam train from the old village
of Corfe Castle (about 30 mins away by car) to the seaside resort
of Swanage. Dorset has plenty of thatched-roofed villages and
places to walk. Other places to see include:
Salisbury (about 45 minutes by car)
Bath, a Roman spa town (2 hours by car)
Oxford (2 hours by car or train)
London (2 hours by train)
There are internationaly recognised gardens, museums, parks and historic houses within the surrounding area. Bournemouth has many good churches of Anglican, Baptist, and other evangelical denominations.
There are many golf courses and 4 large sports centres in Poole/Bournemouth area.
Poole is a port from which ferries run to France, catering for day trips or longer stays.
Other Particulars:
TV, VCR, CD and cassette players available, as is a piano and
guitars. Portable barbeque in garden.
No smoking, no pets.

Who We Are:
We are Pam & Derek, in our mid-50s. Pam is a consultant teacher
of children with dyslexia, Derek is a computer consultant in a
bank. We have 2 adult sons who we do not expect to come with us,
but who will not be at our bungalow either!
We attend an evangelical anglican church about 3 miles from where we live, and are involved in music, singing and work with international students who attend local schols to learn English.
