Victoria: Our beautifully decorated home is located a few blocks from a pristine sandy beach with a park.

Home Description:
Our home is located in a quiet area with character homes and friendly neighbors. There are many quaint cafe's and shops within walking distance. My wife is an interior designer, so our home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We have five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two full kitchens, washer/dryer, DVD/VCR, Internet access, and a beautiful garden with a pond.

The Area:
Victoria is a beautiful city on Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada. It is the capital of the Province, and has many things to do including whale watching, museums, sea kayaking, sailing, golfing, beachcoming, biking, hiking, fishing, scuba diving, and shopping. It is the home of the world famous Butchart Gardens and the Empress Hotel. If you like to golf, we have two beautiful courses near our home. If you like to fish, Vancouver Island is known for some of the best salmon fishing in the world--and July/August is the time to catch them.

Other Particulars:
My wife collects Majolica, so our home is not "toddler friendly". Please no young children. We are open to a vehicle trade. We keep our home very clean and would have our house keeper continue to clean every two weeks. No pets please.

Our Preferred Destination:
We would like to go somewhere in Europe--preferably northern Italy, Switzerland, Germany, or Austria.

Dates of Exchange:
We would like a longer exchange, if possible, from around July 20th, 2003-August 26th 2003. But are open to a shorter term if that is all you can do.

Who We Are:
We are a family of four (daughter 11, son 21) living in Victoria, British Columbia. Scott (37) is a Presbyterian minister who loves tennis, fishing, skiing, and hiking. Lynn (47) is an interior designer who loves gardening, reading, shopping for antiques, and art. We all love to travel and are looking forward to a sabbatical rest after the death of our oldest son who died last year from complications of Cystic Fibrosis.
