decks of this large restored family home. Set on 2 1/4 acres,
it is easy to relax and enjoy the Australian outdoor lifestyle.
The home has 6 bedrooms, the main has an ensuite, it can easily
accommodate 12 people. A beautiful timber kitchen boasts all modern
appliances, and is open to a large dining area and large lounge
with an open fireplace. Enjoy a barbecue on the deck and then
cool off in the inground swimming pool surrounded by tropical
gardens. Our home is also complete with all the regular features;
fully equipped laundry, family bathroom, large garage/workshop,
and plenty of storage room.
The Area:
The Sunshine Coast is 1 hour drive north of Brisbane, Queensland,
and has become a world renowned destination for holiday makers.
It's fabulous beaches and casual lifestyle offer visitors and
residents alike an environment in which to relax and enjoy. Our
home is just 15 minutes drive from the coast, which enjoys the
safety of lifeguarded beaches, international hotels, shopping
centres that cater for the shop-a-holics, fine dining and casual
restaurants, 12 cinemas, and a multitude of holiday attractions.
Within a shorter distance you'll find all other facilities; great
churches, schools, sporting facilities, shops, banks, hospitals
and medical centres, etc.
Other Particulars:
We have 2 vehicles included in the exchange; 8 seater Nomad wagon
(1991) and a 5 seater Sigma Scorpian, (nothing flashy sorry).
Computer with internet access, TV, VCR, play swings, trampoline,
and a great backyard for kids. No smoking indoors. No indoor pets.
Kangaroos often visit our property, and the birdlife is wonderful.
Our Preferred Destination:
Open to offers around England, Scotland and Wales, preferably
areas that have a hospital within 30 mins drive.
Dates of Exchange:
January 2004- January 2005.
Minimum 4 weeks to 12 months.
We are looking at a twelve month working holiday.
Who We Are:
Damien and I (Gillian) have 6 great children (aged 6-17). We are
committed Christians, and place a high value on the family. Damien
is a registered nurse and specialises in intensive care, and Gillian
is primarily a home maker but is also an enrolled nurse. Gillians
heritage is British and we would like to visit her homeland and
discover the English lifestyle with a working holiday.
