Home Description:
Ours is a simple, compact, easily maintained home with air conditioning,
dishwasher, laundry, local & sattelite television in a gated
55+ owner community. The church where I serve is a 1/2 block
away and our friendly people will make a stay very special!!!!!!!!!
The Area:
We are centrally located to all Southern California cultural,
entertainment and sports venues. A major cultural entertainment
center is five miles away. Two major league teams have stadiums
within 20 miles. Entertainment parks: Disneyland, Sea World, Universal
Studios are from 20 to 100 miles away. In winter you can ski in
the nearby mountains (100 mi.) and surf in the ocean (10 mi.)
on the same day with cooperating weather! Other major cities (San
Francisco) spectacular mountain signtseeing (Yosemite Park) and
Napa Valley Wine country are within a day's drive. etc. etc. etc.
etc. etc.
Other Particulars:
There is a possibility of an automobile exchange,I have driven
in right hand and left hand countries and have driven commercially
in the past. While I do not golf, clubs can be made available.
There is local plus cable/satellite television with VCR, DVD,
radio and tape capability. A computer is available for use.
Our Preferred Destination:
We are interested in home exchanges anywhere in the world to which
we can affort to travel!
Dates of Exchange:
Exchange is possible any time of year that is mutually desired.
Who We Are:
We (John and Dorothy) are both at the 70 year mark, in good health.
We serve together at Bethel Church,a part of the Reformed Church
in America,where I have been an associate pastor for fifteen years.
We have four chiildren and thirteen grandchildren, all living
within 2 miles of us and attending the same church! We have served
in two midwestern churches and started a new church in Southern
California. Dorothy is an avid reader (anything in print)and is
an avid knitter.
