Smethwick is a very multicultural neighbourhood with a mixture of inner city characteristics, urban renewal and industrial units. Its attraction lies in the immediate proximity of shops and services, but due to its location in central England and the availability of excellent transport links, it also has excellent access to many parts of the UK. It is also a centre of the UK's industrial heritage.
The property itself is located in a quiet residential new development off a quiet road, yet within walking distance of good public transport links including a half hourly rail service to Birmingham city centre (approx. 5 minute journey time) giving access to all the attractions of Birmingham's second city and the national coach and rail network (by which London can be reached in under two hours).
Birmingham International Airport is approximately 40 minutes by train or car.
By road the heart of the national motorway network is accessible within two minutes, with easy access to the M5 for the South West, the MI and M6 (for travel North or South). For a day trip many attractive country locations are available including Symonds Yat and the Forest of Dean, the Cotswolds and the Peak District in Derbyshire, together with numerous more local country places.
