The Area:
We are located in a small coastal town called Sechelt,which means
"Land between two waters" we are a 40 min. sail on B.C.
Ferries to West Vancouver and a 20 min. drive to downtown Vancouver.
the entire peninsula consists of approx. 30,000 people and Sechelt
approx. 7,000 folks. This is a rare place where folks still smile
and wave to each other as strangers. We are a mountainous area
therefore there are hundreds of lakes and rain forests for average
hikers to enjoy.Local acitivities abound.Golfing,sea kayaking,
scuba diving,boating,fishing charters, snow-shoeing and cross
country skiing in winter.A 5 min. walk from our home brings you
to one of the 10 best sandy beaches in B.C. We have a church for
any denomination. Our church is Calvary Chapel which is just across
the Hwy. from us. We walk.
Other Particulars:
We provide a "Clipper" canoe and a small aluminium boat
and motor and bicyles. An automobile exchange could be arranged.The
home comes completely equipped with all the amenities that are
part of a modern home. This is a "NON SMOKING' residence.
And absolutely no pets of any kind.
Our Preferred Destination:
We are open to any destination for exchange. Dietmar my husband
is from Germany. Eastern Canada in the summer months ie Nova Scotia,
P.E.I. We would only be interested in winter month exchanges at
Christmas and New Years. Exchanges in any of our winter months,
November 31to March 31 to a sunny warm climate would be considered.
We love adventure therefore we are open.
Dates of Exchange:
We are very open as to where and when this exchange could take
place. We run a Bed and Breakfast and our busy time is from May
to Sempember.
We would be open to exchanging B&B's also.
Who We Are:
My husbands name is Dietmar. He is originally form Hanover, Germany. He has been in Canada since 1965. He is a hairstylist by trade and owns and operates his own successful salon (soon to retire). Patricia is from eastern Canada (Ottawa, Ontario). I am an interior designer by trade, have owned and operated my own successful business for 20 years. We have 7 children between us and 4 grandchildren. We haven't had much time for travel as we both operate our own business. But, we are curious, and adventuresome, love people, and love to serve. Our greatest fun and hobby comes from buying neglected properties, giving them a new lease on life and selling them. But, now it's time for travel.
