This house bought by us in Dec 2002 was completely renovated by
builders. The main house has two bedrooms two bathrooms, separate
dressing area, open plan lounge/ dining area, large fully fitted
kitchen plus laundry area. The flooring is all in pine apart from
the bathrooms which are tiled with underfloor heating. All the
windows have superb views of the mountains. The garage is separate
with a car port between it and the main house. At the rear of
the garage is a flat containing a kitchen,bathroom and room currently
used as an office. Large open gardens to the front, in the rear
an enclosed private covered patio area with outdoor pool 8x3x1.5m
The Area:
Franschhoek is described in the tourist as the Gourmet Capital
of the Western Cape It is tourist village at the head of a valley
in the heart of the Cape winelands surrounded by mountains. Cape
Town is 1 hr drive away, beautiful beaches 45 mns.The house is
in a quiet area of the village but all the restaurants and shops
are 5 mns walk away. A car is essential as public transport is
very poor. However the road structure in SA is good. We have travelled
extensively In SA using our car
Other Particulars:
Franschhoek is a low crime area but house has full 24hr manned
supervised security system. Car is essential and we would like
to exchange cars we own 2002 VW polo. Can offer use of computer
for e mails and a TV with satellite dish. Non smokers and no pets
please

Australia New Zealand West Coast of USA (October to April)
UK(May to September)

Who We Are:
I Chris and my wife (anne) took early retirement from our jobs
in the Uk 2 years ago and moved to south africa in September 2002
having been on holiday before. Our adult children are still in
Uk and are not yet married so we have taken the opportunity to
travel all of them having travelled extensively. We will probably
return to Uk permanently in 2006/7 In the meantime God has blessed
us with living in this beautiful country. We are involved in a
small lively evegelical church and have made many friends We however
wish to still travel and see other contries whilst we have this
base in SA.We intend to go back to the UK once a year to see our
family and as all of them live in flats a house exchange for all
of us to meet up in the Uk would also be help us
