Auburn: Lovely lake views and access from our dock and 3,500 sq.ft. two story home situated on half an acre at Lake of the Pines, golfing and tennis.
Home Description:
This gated community of 2,000 homes on the five mile boating and waterskiing lake provides tennis, golf, and swimming nearly yearround. Snow skiing is one hour, airport 50 minutes. Our home has 3,500 sq.ft. of space, three bedrooms, one office, and a sewing or card room. There is a pool table in the downstairs. There are four bathrooms. The fireplace and downstairs pellet stove provide a cozy place for reading. Our dock has a canoe and sand beach for the five mile lake. The 1/2 acre provides space for viewing the clubhouse, swimming pool, and tennis courts. Hole #9 is the closest hole to our home (about 8 houses away). The 18 hole golf course has many hills and is quite challenging. This vacation spot is very crowded in the summer and temperatures are similar to Sacramento. There is no fog here, people are friendly and love being here. There is 24 hour security patrol and the home has an alarm. We have never had any safety problems Our home is 15 years old, has a level driveway, and has new appliances. We do not want smokers or pets. We'd like to keep the art work in place and know you'd respect the same. We'd like to return to Europe where we were married in Wengen 35 years ago but we also enjoy other locations such as Australia, Italy, or Alaska. We enjoy travelling, tennis, golf, and the Lord's many creations. We cannot travel in July as our business is heavy then but you could come here.
The Area:
Sandy beach, volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, boating, kyacking, sailing, waterskiing, sports lounge, clubhouse eating (once a week) and GOLF daily. Churches are withing two miles. Drugstore, gas, and food within a couple of miles. City of Auburn is 6 miles, Grass Valley is 16 miles. Lake Tahoe is 1hr. 45min. Skiing at Sugar Bowl is 50 minutes. Highway 80 is 9 miles.
Other Particulars:
Golf clubs, bicycles, ok to use. Will need to discuss safety of use of canoe and age of children. Hot tub is new and should not be used by children under five even if they swim. Not sure about auto, I need to check with insurance company first. VCR, tv's (three of them) are fine to use. In summer, A/C would have a charge of $20/day if used. The nights are cool but afternoons get warm in summer. NO PETS! no smoking or drugs. Hospital is 10 minutes away. Several million $ homes on the court.

Who We Are:
We are retired professionals in our early sixties. We have Master's Degrees (MBA and Psychology). Terry was an educator for decades. Larry worked in finance and electronics in the Bay area. We play tennis and golf, like to hike and water ski. Northern Italy has been a favorite (Cinque Terre) area. We'd need access to the rail system or other public transportation.
