
Newbridge, South Wales: We live in a 250 year old farm cottage. Set in semi rural surroundings overlooking the Sirhowy Valley.
Home Description:
Set in a semi rural countryside the cottage has 3 bedrooms, a
kitchen lounge (complete with Inglenook fireplace) and bathroom.
All tastefully renovated recently. We also have a beautiful conservatory
that looks on to open farmland. At the side of the house we have
a large decked area that joins on to our upper landing through
some french doors.
The Area:
Newbridge lies 20 minutes north of Cardiff. And 1 hour from Swanseas
glorious Gower beaches. Newbridge It also is only 30 minutes away
from the Brecon Beacons National Park. Newbridge, once an old
mining community, is now a thriving rapidly growing area. Semi
rural surrounded by hills and valleys and forests.
Other Particulars:
Our visitors will be able to enjoy any of our facilities including
our Big Screen projection TV. Use of our 2 vehicles will be negotiable
depending on insurance issues. Also for use will be our bicycles.We
are non smokers and have no pets and so welcome guests of a similar
persuasion.
Dates of Exchange:
As teachers we have regular holidays our main choice would be
during the month of august But Easter dates would also fit in.
Who We Are:
My wife Janet and myself are both local teachers. We have 2 children
Thomas (8) and Sally (9). I am 48 and my wife is 50. We both teach
Physical Education and
love recreation and the outdoors.. We are both mature committed
Christians worshipping in our small evangelical fellowship.
