Deerbrook: Privatte, beautiful, Northwoods Get Away!
Home Description:
We live in a Ranch Style home on 40 acres. Sit on our deck, and
enjoy the beautiful, lush view of the Eau Claire river, throw
a line in if you like, and maybe you'll have Trout for supper!
We have a wonderful fire pit, a full size Volley Ball net, a four
wheeler & 10 acres of pasture to ride it in. Did I mention
a trampoline with a rope to swing on, a swing set, and a 3 person
raft for playing in the river behind the house! Depending on when
you come, you can enjoy Rasberries, Strawberries, and fresh garden
veggies. Stroll through the yard and pick a fresh bouqet of flowers
each morning! You will find quiet, peaceful privacy at our home.
There are only 2 neighbors, one is 1/4 mile from us, and one is
2 miles from us. We'd need you to feed our chickens, and gather
the eggs each morning...and feed the kitty!
The Area:
Within a 30 miles radius, there are approximately 15 lakes with
great fishing and boating (you can use our boat), and many beautiful
beaches. Our favorite is Jack Lake, which is 10 minutes away!
Pack a picnic lunch, your beach toys, some folding chairs(all
of which we have), and off you go! If you need a day of shopping
and resturants, Antigo is 8 miles away. It's a quaint town of
8,000 people, but there are some lovely shops, antiques malls,
and yummy resturants. Every Wednesday night, you can grab a blanket
and go to city park for a concert with pie & ice cream for
a cheap price! If bigger city life is what the day calls for -
Wausau is 30 minutes away, with malls, coffee shops, culture,
and many things to see and do!
Other Particulars:
We have a mini-van you can use, bicycles, Super Nintendo, computer,
VCR, DVD, and fireplace.
For those of you musically inclined...we have a Baby Grand Piano,
an acoustic & electric violin, a drum set, and Djembe, an
acoustic guiter, last but not least - a flute!

We're totally open!
Dates of Exchange:
We'd like a maximum of a 2 week vacation, we're open to dates.
Who We Are:
We are a homeschooling family with 4 children (one on the way)
ages, 17,16,13,& 4. My husband is a self employed carpenter,
I teach piano for a little extra money.
We try very hard to live on a small income, and it makes us very
creative!
