Vineland: 1 1/2 Storey, 3 bedroom, brick home with skylights, beautiful gardens, large kitchen, on large town lot.
Home Description:
Our home is a brick 1+1/2 storey, 3 bedroom home with a den, large
open concept eat-in kitchen, open to living room, with laundry
attached to kitchen, there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, and
1 upstairs master bedroom with ensuite bath, plus den (which is
currently used as a bedroom). We also have a full basement rec
area, plus a storage area with extra fridge and chest freezer.
Our quiet town lot is 55'x 150', and we have a seasonal 15' round
pool 36" deep, with a fence surrounding it for safety.
The Area:
We live in the fruit belt, in the Niagara region. There are many
wineries to visit. There are also festivals e.g. the Grape and
Wine Festival in St. Catharines (10 minutes away), the Shaw Festival
in Niagara on the Lake (15 minutes away). We are about 20 minutes
from Niagara Falls and all its excitement (e.g.Marineland). Hamilton
is about 30 minutes from us, and Toronto is 1 hour, and many types
of entertainment is available in those cities, including lots
of sporting events, and festivals, theatres, restaurants etc.
Our town is a fairly quiet place and we have a grocery store 3
doors down, a hardware store a little further, and same with a
corner store, pharmacy, and postal outlet, park, and a library
all within walking distance.
Other Particulars:
We have a 7 seater van and a 6 seater pick-up truck that could
be swapped. We also have 2 adult bicycles and 4 kid's ones, plus
a trike. We have many toys for children, and a play centre in
the back. We also have a patio out back. Our computer would also
possibly be usable. Our house is non-smoking. We have a cat which
can be removed if necessary.
Our Preferred Destination:
We would like to go to Western Australia close to Armadale area
(Albany - Perth).
Dates of Exchange:
Any 12 month period would be great but since we have 3 school-age
children would love to go from July to June or sometime that the
children could keep on the Canadian school schedule (Sept-June).
Who We Are:
Albert is a machinist and Chris is a distributor for a food-science
company and a stay-at-home mom. We have 4 children, 10, 8, 6,
and 2. Our oldest has a disability and so we want to check out
Australia because the climate may be more suitable for her, with
a view to possibly making a permament move there.
