Our 3 bedroom split level home is sited among the tree tops in a private and secluded valley. It has a double garage and study under, a slow combustion fire, new kitchen with large entertaining/living areas. Our windows look out on native birds by day and ring tail possums by night.
The Area:
Our home is sited within 15 minutes of Newcastle's beautiful beaches, 45 minutes from the famous Hunter Valley wine growing region, one and a half hours from the city of Sydney, 15 minutes from beautiful Lake Macquarie which caters for those with an interest in sailing or fishing. Newcastle and the Hunter Valley have 200 churches, traditional and contemporary. Newcastle is overlooked by Christ Church Cathedral, is on the banks of the Hunter River and has wonderful ocean beaches. The city caters for almost every interest from craft to sport, has many art galleries, museums, and places of interest. Restaurants abound, from the city to the vineyards, and anyone with an interest in music will find their passion catered for. Originally a coal mining/manufacturing area, Newcastle has been redeveloped since the closure of much of the industry. The University, on its bushland site, has 17,000 students from more than 50 countries. Newcastle is a centre of excellence for regional health services and is a vibrant town.

It is possible that a car could be made available, a computer with internet access is available, there is a VCR and a DVD available. The house has a slow combustion fire and an upstairs balcony which as a delightful place to share a summer meal. We have a no smoking policy and would prefer that no pets be allowed - the back yard is not fenced and is therefore not suitable for a dog and it is our policy to provide a safe haven for birds and possums, so cats are not welcome.

Who We Are:
Cameron and Dianne are a middle aged couple with no children living at home now. We are non - smokers and almost non-drinkers. We enjoy our church activities and travel, we read and garden and Dianne does some craft. Cameron really enjoys learning about people and sharing travel experiences with them. Our ideal place would be close to amenities, but quiet and peaceful, with areas for walking and for relaxing and with access to tour and learn about the area.
