Home Description:
Nel and I love living in this home for the last 15 years. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. There is ample open living space consisting of a sitting room with TV and DVD/VCR, another living area for those not wishing to watch TV, a dining area and an office area with computer and broadband connection. There is a large verandah where we spend a lot of our time. This opens out onto the pool area which overlooks a canal with its own little beach.
The Area:
The residence is located on the Redcliffe Peninsula about 35 kms north east of Brisbane. It is within 1 hours drive of the Sunshine coast and 90 minutes of the Gold Coast.
There are several shopping areas and churches within easy reach of our home.
Queensland is the premier holiday destination in Australia.
The climate is subtropical, and therefore, acceptable for most of the year. During the summer months the temperature rarely exceeds 31 degrees Celcius. The slogan is : "beautiful one day, perfect the next".
Other Particulars:
We have a two car garage and would be interested in a car exchange. One of the cars is a 5 seater, 6 cylinder 2004 Holden Commodore. The other is a 1989 Holden Astra used as a standby. There is also a pushbike available.
We do not have any pets and would appreciate interested people to make other arrangements for their pets. Smoking should be restricted to areas outside the home.
Our Preferred Destination:
At present we are interested in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and sometime in the near future Perth, Western Australia.

Who We Are:
Nel and I (Jack) have been married for 40+ years. We have 4 children all of whom are married. We have 7 grand children. One of them lives close to us and could be contacted for assistance during your stay. Jack has recently retired after spending 25 years in the car industry as accountant and general manager, while Nel has taken care of things at home.We are very involved in our local church.
