Surprise: New 3,00 sq. ft. golf course home; 3 bedrooms; 3 baths; all amenities
Home Description:
Our almost-new home is in a 55+ retirement golf community, but visitors any age are welcomed. We are on one level, and are manual wheelchair accessible from the 3 car garage (only one step up). We have 2 large master bedrooms, each with queen beds and private baths, and the third bedroom has twin beds/games/toys for our grandchildren. Our master has a Jacuzzi tub/snail shower, other master has tub/shower. We have a large family room, living room with piano, dining room that seats 10 comfortably, and a gorgeous maple/granite kitchen with breakfast bar and a separate kitchen seating area for 8 or more. Floors are mostly tile, with berber carpeting in bedrooms. A huge covered porch is only 1 step down from the kitchen, which has a fireplace and comfortable seating.
The Area:
We are in Sun City Grand, noted for its many amenities. There are two workout gyms, an indoor walking track, an indoor Olympic-sized pool, three outdoor pools, spas, restaurants, activities and walking and biking paths, etc. All activities are free with out resident cards, and golf would be at a reduced fee. Our grandchildren love the water features for children, and there is a playground. We are in the northwest valley, near the White Tank Mts. (views) and have major stores, restaurants very close by. Sky Harbor Airport is a 45 min. drive to downtown Phoenix. A great vacation destination for Feb. '07, one of the months we would like to do an exchange for - temps. usually in the 70's or low 80's.
Other Particulars:
Please, no smoking (allergies), no babies and no pets. We have TV's in double bedrooms and family room, VCR's, DVD's, internet access in small office, w/d, one bike. Many churches within 5 mile radius, including Radiant Church (3,000 attend) - pastor just returned from Africa trip with Purpose Driven Life team. We are retired RV'rs, having volunteered with MAPS and SOWERS all around country. Husband now uses walker, so would need exchange with house that was first floor accessible, and no steps, or just one step from garage to house.
Our Preferred Destination:
We have a few options. One is to vacation together with our daughter and family who want to ski (3 school aged children) during their winter break. Don and I are also open to exchanging by ourselves - maybe CA, OR, CO, or within driving distance of Arizona. Also looking for a southern CT or Westchester NY area exchange any time, if it is accessible.
Dates of Exchange:
1. any time by ourselves, nearby
2. Feb. 14 to 21, 2007 with family - prefer CO, OR or UT ski areas
3. Ct or lower NY anytime.
Who We Are:
Don and I are in our 70's, very active in church, and we love music, gardening and meeting new people. My name is June, and our 4 children just surprised us with an amazing 50th anniversary celebration!
